Bottega ...Italian for Studio/Shop
|
|
In renaissance Italy, the artists opened their studio or shops called a BOTTEGA. They were often grouped together around a court yard. The bottega was a place to work, create, and receive their coustomers.
Today La Bottega welcomes its customers to come in, relax, ask questions and find something to fall in love with. There are more than twenty artists on display, and all showing only orginal work
La Bottega is located in the five hundred block of the Glasstown Arts District. The Village on High is directly across the street, a charming collection of retail shops and artist studios and small galleriers.
It is beleived that there are more artists in the 500 block than anywhere else in the Arts District.
